Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of VoilaLog (“we”, “us”, “our”), available at voilalog.app. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms in full.

Independent tool — no airline affiliation

VoilaLog is an independent tool created by pilots, for pilots. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, approved by, or connected in any way with any airline, including Ryanair or any of its subsidiaries. All company names, logos, and trademarks mentioned are the property of their respective owners.

1. Service Description

VoilaLog is an automatic flight logbook service for airline pilots. The service connects to your Google Drive account, reads daily flight report files you place in your logbook/ folder, parses them, and stores the resulting flight records in your personal log. Flight data is also synced to a Google Sheets spreadsheet in your own Drive account.

VoilaLog is available as a free tier with unlimited flight logging. Additional advanced features may be offered under a paid plan in the future.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use VoilaLog. By using the service, you represent that you are at least 18 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

3. Your Account

You sign in to VoilaLog using your Google account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Google account and for all activity that occurs under your VoilaLog account.

You may delete your account at any time via Settings → Danger Zone. Upon deletion, all your flight data, roster data, and personal information will be permanently removed from our systems within 30 days.

4. User Responsibilities

  • Accuracy of data:You are solely responsible for verifying that the flight records logged by VoilaLog are accurate and complete. VoilaLog parses your employer’s reports automatically; parsing errors may occasionally occur.
  • Employer compliance:You are responsible for ensuring your use of VoilaLog complies with your employer’s policies regarding data handling and third-party tools.
  • Authorised use only: You may only upload flight data that relates to your own flying activity. You must not upload data belonging to other crew members without their explicit consent.
  • Lawful use: You agree not to use VoilaLog for any unlawful purpose or in any way that could damage, disable, or impair the service.

5. Not a Certified Aviation System

Important: VoilaLog is not a certified aviation record-keeping system and has not been approved by any aviation authority (EASA, DGAC, CAA, FAA, or any other). It is a personal productivity tool.

Pilots remain solely responsible for compliance with all applicable aviation regulations, including but not limited to EASA Part-FCL requirements for logbook maintenance. VoilaLog records must not be used as a substitute for an official pilot logbook without independent verification.

We make no warranty that the data parsed and stored by VoilaLog is accurate, complete, or compliant with any regulatory standard.

6. Intellectual Property

Your data: All flight data, roster data, and personal information you provide remains yours. You grant VoilaLog a limited licence to process your data solely for the purpose of providing the service to you. We do not claim any ownership over your flight records.

Our service: VoilaLog, including its software, design, and branding, is the intellectual property of VoilaLog. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works of any part of the service without our written permission.

7. Service Availability

VoilaLog is provided on a best-effort basis. We do not offer any service level agreement (SLA) on the free tier. The service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time. We will make reasonable efforts to provide advance notice of significant changes.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

VoilaLog is provided “as is” and “as available” without any warranty of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free of viruses or other harmful components.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, VoilaLog shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, revenue, or profits, arising from your use of the service.

Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising from your use of VoilaLog shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim (which on the free tier is zero).

10. Termination

You may stop using VoilaLog and delete your account at any time via Settings → Danger Zone.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or use the service in a way that endangers other users or the integrity of our systems. We will give you reasonable notice where possible.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of France, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Any dispute arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of France, unless mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence provide otherwise.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. If changes are material, we will notify you by email or via a notice in the app. Continued use of VoilaLog after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
